The Trojan Motive L16G-AC is a 6VDC, 390Ah deep cycle flooded lead acid battery designed for applications that require a substantial reserve of stored energy and repeated cycling. With 390Ah of capacity at the 20 hour rate and 2.60 kWh of rated energy, it is a strong fit for solar power systems, off-grid energy storage, backup power, and industrial equipment.
Designed For Deep Cycle Energy Storage
Deep cycle batteries are built to provide sustained power over longer periods and handle repeated discharge and recharge cycles. Rather than delivering a short burst of current like a starting battery, the L16G-AC is intended to gradually supply stored energy to connected loads. This makes it particularly useful for solar systems, where energy collected during the day can be stored and used later when sunlight is unavailable. For renewable energy installations, the L16G-AC can be configured into larger battery banks by connecting multiple 6V batteries in series or parallel. Four batteries, for example, can be connected in series to create a 24V battery bank, while eight can provide a 48V configuration. This makes the battery suitable for off-grid cabins, remote power systems, RVs, backup systems, and other installations where dependable energy storage is needed.
Beyond solar and energy storage, the L16G-AC is also used in motive power equipment such as floor cleaning machines and aerial work platforms. Its 390Ah capacity gives equipment and energy systems a larger pool of stored power for applications where extended operation between charging periods is important.
