The Trojan Motive L16E-AC is a 6VDC, 370Ah deep cycle flooded lead acid battery designed for applications that require substantial energy storage and repeated cycling. With 370Ah of capacity at the 20 hour rate and 2.47 kWh of rated energy at the 100 hour rate, it is well suited for solar power systems, off-grid energy storage, backup power, and other equipment that depends on sustained battery power.
Built For Deep Cycle Applications
A deep cycle battery is designed to deliver energy over an extended period and withstand repeated discharge and recharge cycles. Unlike a starting battery that is primarily designed for short bursts of high current, the L16E-AC is intended for applications where stored energy is gradually used before the battery is recharged. This makes it particularly useful in renewable energy systems where batteries may charge during the day and supply power to loads throughout the evening or overnight. For solar and energy storage, the L16E-AC can be used in off-grid cabins, remote power systems, telecommunications equipment, RVs, backup power installations, and other renewable energy applications. Multiple 6V batteries can be wired together to create 12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V battery banks, allowing the system to be configured around the voltage and storage requirements of the installation. Trojan lists the battery as a 6V deep cycle flooded battery and provides charging configurations for these system voltages.
