The monocrystalline modules of the AXI premium HC series are power modules with half-cell technology, have a lower cell resistance and therefore a higher performance than standard modules.

The PV modules with half-cell technology have a lower cell resistance and therefore a higher performance than standard modules. If you halve the size of solar cells, their efficiency increases. The researchers at Fraunhofer from Halle discovered this effect back in 2014. In the tests carried out at the time, a module with 120 half-cells supplied five percent more electricity than one with 72 full cells. By dividing the solar cells, the current per cell is halved, which is associated with a reduction in the power loss in the cell. Due to the changed cell arrangement with half cells, the behavior of the module with reduced irradiation (shading) on one of the halves of the module, better and has a higher yield compared to standard modules.
